GIS Training
Data Directions offers training to exploration personnel and other professionals in both MapInfo and Discover, worldwide. Courses are available at various levels, or alternatively a custom course can be tailored to individual requirements.
Courses are presented at your office, utilising your computers and GIS software. Training is provided on a date and time suitable to you. One-on-one training is available at no additional charge. Discounts are available for three or more attendees.
Participants can expect to leave each training session with practical working experience and a comprehension of the software utilised. A detailed training manual is provided and all attendees are entitled to 60 days free email support for any material covered in the course.
Data sets used in training courses are usually of a generic nature. However, at Data Directions, the training utilizes data familiar to your industry (eg exploration, native title, environment, telecommunications). Data Directions can even tailor the course utilizing your company's data, for which a confidentiality agreement can be signed if required.

Data Directions can develop a course suited to your particular requirements utilising our data or your own data. Data Directions can also integrate your data into the exercises used in a training course. Customized courses have been created for a number of our local and overseas clients.
A refresher course can also be presented covering specific topics. Refresher courses are particularly beneficial to users who may not have used the software for a period of time, or wish to “come up to speed” with the latest features in the software.
